Historians assert that the Etruscans cared for vineyards as early as the 8th century BCE. Regarding the vineyard sources, they disagree whether the Etruscans brough vines from Asia or cultivated wild vines. Regardless, for centuries, the inhabitants of Tuscany have cultivated grapes.
