Hello Body! Nice that you have come along with me.
You are a grumbling one, aren’t you?
So, the bottoms of our feet don’t like the rocky paths. What about when you get to walk on the grass like a golf course putting green. Or, what about the soft pine needle cushion walking between the trees?
Our right shoulder aches? Ok, I shouldn’t have brought so much, but I did leave the Nikon at home. And I’m certainly eating those protein bars and draining that water bladder darn quickly!
The left knee has a twitch of pain? At least the walking poles help with going down the steep slopes.
Our right hip? Okay, that is on me too. With a belt, a fanny pack, and our backpack’s hip belt, there is quite a lot digging into the flesh. Oh, I know, that extra flesh really doesn’t provide a helpful cushion!
But I do commend you on so much.
Those taste buds sure do allow me to enjoy the food, and drink around here.
And, as one fellow older woman hiker said, “Keep it up love, there is a bench around the corner. Your bottom will love it!”
Our nose hasn’t really gotten into the hike yet. I know that it will as I smell the salty sea breezes.
Our ears will also. Walking above the cliffs, we can hear the waves, the birds, and the children. Of course, I could probably hear a bit better if I hadn’t ruptured our left eardrum right before leaving!
Oh, but our eyes. What a feast! Views and more views. So much beauty up, down, all around!
