630. Honorary Members of Our Guy’s Bookclub

As some of you know, we’ve had a guy’s book club since pre-Covid days. I’m guessing five years. We are both a high-brow bunch; and a rather low- brow bunch. While we haven’t read War and Peace, we’ve read some hefty tomes, in length and topic. And, some that aren’t!

While on my slow-walk, I have decided to give some honorary membership to these other guys. I’ve also let you in on some of our secrets.

Enjoy!

Our younger years. “Read a book. You kidding. We’re going for a swim.”

Selecting our next book.

Salisbury Sarum College

If we don’t find a book, we keep searching.

Toward Appledore

Not anybody can join us. We don’t have a secret handshake, but we do have special keys.

St Catherine’s key Milton Abbas

Every good discussion requires hand gestures and a pint.

Our beverage of choice. Our jackets of choice.

Sometimes we need a bit of help from above.

Mermaid pew end, Zennor

“How did she join us?”

We don’t read all the time. We keep busy in other ways. Our day jobs.

We have lives outside of the book club. “Pay attention guys. She’s our next queen.”

Our more pensive moments.

Porthleven Waiting for the Fish

Our usual Friday night entertainment. Our Saturday afternoon entertainment. Our beach outings.

Who says our brains are a mystery?

Cheers! Here’s to you!
